Founded in 1990 Kanonhallen is an independent theatre venue. It is the most important venue in Denmark for audiences and artists who are interested in new artistic work and wish to follow the recent developments within the performing arts. Leading companies from all over the world has been performing in Kanonhallen. Annually Kanonhallen is organising seminars focusing on international trends. From 1994 - 1996 Kanonhallen was the main venue in Copenhagen during Cultural Capital 1996. Besides it presented and coordinated a number of national and international cooperation projects within the field of dance, theatre and performance.
