The Junge Hunde network The Junge Hunde network was created in 1995 as one of the first networks which is dedicated to the presentation, promotion, exchange, and development of young, contemporary performing artists throughout Europe. Its mission to support their new ideas and productions. The network provides the artists with the necessary resources and support across European borders. The network comprises partners of different venues and organisations from nine European countries. (La Villette in Paris/ F, Kanonhallen in Copenhagen/ DK, T90 Progetti in Milane/ I, Monty in Antwerp/ B, Monica Arus in Barcelona/ E; BIT Teatergarasjen in Bergen/ N, Yorkshire Dance in Leeds/ GB, Buncker in Ljubljana/ SLO, Staatstheater Meiningen/ D, The co-ordination of the network is centred on the Junge Hunde office in Hamburg/ D). Every year several public events, festivals or single presentations along with residencies, artist exchanges, productions, workshops and seminars take place in the cities related to the Junge Hunde network. Since its existence the Junge Hunde network served this way already as stepping stone for lots of artists to create their professional and international career (e.g.: Ingun Bjornsgaard/ N, La Trinité/ B, Rebecca Murgi/ I, Tim Feldman/ DK, Kubilai Khan/ F, Conservas/ E, Dood Paard/ NL, Falk Richter/ D, Volcano/ GB, Nicolas Stemann/ D, Het Hans Hof Ensemble/ NL, Sean Tuan John/ GB, Hooman Sharifi/ N Angela Guerreiro/ D, Camilla Wargo Brekkling/ DK, Stefan Kaegi/CH, Kinkaleri/ I, Jasmin Vardimon/ GB, Valentina Cabro & Grom Tomaz/ SLO, Showcase Beat Le Mot/ G, Benji Reeid/ GB). The Junge Hunde network receives the three years funding from the Culture 2000 programme of the European Commission. Acclaimed as a project that have "a European dimension, both in the conceptual stage and in the organisation of and the participation in the project" (Eu commission) the Junge Hunde network was supported by the European Commission already three times in previous years.
