JUNGEHUNDEBIT Teatergarasjen, Bergen, Norway
BIT (Bergen International Theater) Teatergarasjen was established in 1983/84 as an international theatre and dance festival. In 1989 it became an international production center. BIT Teatergarasjen is today the main producer and co-producer of Norwegian and international contemporary theatre and dance in Norway. It's main objective is to stimulate to new performing arts creation and the international cultural exchange. BIT Teatergarasjen is the producer of Norways only international dance festival (Octoberdance). The international performing arts festival Meteor was established in 2001. These two festivals will be the frames for most of the JUNGE HUNDE events taking place in Bergen. BIT Teatergarasjen will involve the following national partners for the JUNGE HUNDE events taking place in Bergen and Norway; Bergen Dance Center, Carte Blanche, University of Bergen, The Norwegian Department for Forreign Affaires, Network for Performing Arts in Norway, Norw. Association for Performing Arts Critics, Norw. Dance and Theatre Center and others.
