'The New West: An Exhibition of Virtual Folk Art'
Date: Tuesday, June 06 @ 16:27:00 CEST
Topic: Opportunities

While the title may immediately invoke a waft of patchouli and tight blue jeans, this show underscores an interesting direction in the recent history of artistic game development. More and more games are being used as public exhibition spaces themselves - the game itself is not the artwork, instead it's a site for publically exhbiting artworks made for that game.

A private island in Second-Life has been laid out for the purpose of an exhibition of virtual art for ISEA06, and the offer is open. You've got around 25 days to finish and install your work. Most importantly, exhibiting on a private island can only look good on the CV.

Read on here for submission details. Thnx to Chris for the pointer.
