So if the likeness doesn't ring home, just picture your standard, conservative, national leader throwing any global, political weight he can muster at one of the world's poorest countries, in order to claim rights to a sea shelf rich in billions of dollars worth of oil, whilst the tiny, island nation who according to the International Court of Justice should have full rights to the water in which this oil sits, struggles to recover from its recently terminated 27 year occupation by a brutal military dictatorship.
