This huge warehouse in Hampton is a dedicated play space with 16 1.8m screens, three 2.5m screens, and a 3.8m behemoth. All can be connected to PCs or consoles, and the centre supports a variety of multiplayer configurations.
To make it difficult to leave, players can order food on-screen and it's delivered to their station.. no doubt this will evolve to include player tutoring services, on-site counselling and a skate-ramp.

The article in The Wire smacks of the kind of romanticism used to sell SGI systems to unsuspecting universities in the mid 90's, not surprising given the company behind this is called 'Holo-dek' (what film was that?). Regardless it finishes up nicely with a reference to a long forgotten story that frames game in a way that few cultural theorists have touched on, 'Mimsy were the Borogoves'.
