How can we deal with its radiation, with the boredom and loneliness that comes with it?. Is it speed the only paradigm to envision and understand it? I propose to make a slow practice of technology, based on FOSS software and DIY elctronics. In a relation with cycles, recovering knowledge about how food is cooked, how code lies behind streams and what is the sound from electromagnetic space. Conversing with people connected from around the globe we perform CuranToglobal a slow cooking experience inside the ground, the waves and the internet. ------- Speaking about the question of sustainability. In relation to technology, can we promote a fast interpretation? Is dromology and speed the only paradigm to envision and understand technology? Can we relate it to cycles and slowness? I propose to make a slow practice of technology, based on FOSS software and Linux. I perceive strong breaks in my cycles since I use the computer for periods of 10 or more hours. But in my country schools are promoting the use of window$ computers since 1st or 2nd grade. Kids spend a lot of time on computer screens, chatting blogging, watching videos and playing videogames. This leisure time proposed by web 2.0, is it really helping to appropriate technology or is it just making a huge pollution? A fast appropriation to friendly interfaces. Will this have an effect on younger generations? I have noticed I have different kind of dreams when I am more than 12 hours working on the machine. They are bizarre dream situations,there is this fzzzz sound and some high frequencies.Everything is sort of radiated. And probably some ciphers are running somewhere, numbers. The feeling of loops, it's a physical sensation, not very pleasant, maybe vertiginous. How can we make technology sustainable?. Or how can we work with technology in our countries when there is no cultural continuity between the technological artifact and the social relations or even the infrastructure?.How can we work with technology if it changes our body, how can we deal with its radiation, with the boredom and loneliness that comes with it?. There is a relation with cycles, recovering circular time of eating, sleeping and conversing. I propose a CuranToglobal to speak about this issues around the fire, waiting for the food to cook. It's slow cooking, it will mean a whole night of cooking/performing. I need time to speak about this issues, to make people to converse in the chats, how do we deal with cycles? I want to invite people who work in front of machines to come over and tell me about their habits of caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, dope. Even though it may demand long periods in front of the machine you need -time- to figure out things, you spend time not only being a passive receiver of radiation. It demands and active disposition. Perhaps this is an antidote to sleep walks on the web. Free software as the return of cyclic time in our relation to technology.
