Hello, Here is the directory structure of my contribution to this DVD: blender resources | |-- blend2OSC | | | |-- pyKit-OSC | | |-- blender-documentation | | | |------ blender-python | | | |-- blender-user-guide | | | |-- game-engine-materials | |-- course-work | |-- second-person-shooter In the 'blend2OSC folder you'll find a demo of how to use Blender to drive sound events using MaxMSP/PD or any other OSC application on local or remote networks. The runtime demo is for the Linux operating system. You'll need 'pyKit' to use this in your own projects, which is included within this folder. In the 'blender-documentation' folder you'll find documentation about using Blender. To get started, look into the folder names 'blender-user-guide' and open Chapter One ("ch01") in your browser (it's HTML). The 'blender-python' directory contains documentation about using Python with Blender for rich interactivity. There are a few tutorial demos and reference files of mine on the CD also. these are in the folder named 'course-work'. 'GE' stands for 'Game Engine', these files are activated with the 'P' key with your cursor over the 3D viewport. Any code included is free for your use. I've also included an experimental prototype of a single-player 'Second Person Shooter' made in Blender for the Linux and Windows platforms. The Blender file provided however can be opened on any operating system that Blender supports. To play this game, click and drag the left mouse button to turn your 'second-person self' and use the space bar to shoot. Keys W,S,A,D are used for navigation, where 'W' is move forward and 'S' back. Keys 'A', 'D' will move you left and right. You're free to use any code contained therein for use in your own projects. To download blender for your given platform, read updated documentation and for general news about the project, visit here: http://blender.org The Blender forums are here: http://blenderartists.org Any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.
