NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SLOVENIA– METELKOVA

In the transformed ex-barracks complex on Metelkova Street, comprising the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum, The Slovenian Cinemateque and the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, there is also housed the new venue of the National Museum of Slovenia.

This new building of the museum for the first time extensively presents study collections of historical arts and crafts objects from the 14th century to the present; they are exhibited in all their splendour on two floors, while the ground floor is used for topical occasional exhibitions.
