Actéon miniature, inspired by a Greek myth from Ovid’s Metamorphoses, is in fact a story of initiation. A young hunter Actéon, who is about to reach his adulthood, has to confront himself and his own transgressive desires as he enters into a forbidden area, where he happens to see something that he normally should not – Diana, the goddess of nature and the hunt, naked in her bath.  (more…)
