WANDL

Austria

In 2015, Wandl and Crack Ignaz released the album “Geld Leben”. The magazines Juice, All Good and Intro declared it one of the best German rap albums of the decade. Escaping the madness, Wandl withdrew into the studio of his mentor and later album guest Dorian Concept, grabbing the guitar, the Rhodes, the violin, the synths, etc. This resulted in his post-RnB debut full-length “It’s All Good Tho”, released by Affine Records in June. The 22-year old from Vienna is said to be one of the most progressive and intriguing European producers in recent years.

TOLSTOYS

February 2, 2018 8:15 pm

Slovakia

This young dream pop quintet formed in 2016 around singer-songwriter Ela Tolstova. The band delivers mature yet innocent-sounding dream pop with elements of acoustic music, electronic textures, and delicate vocals. Two singles, Right Choice and Agapé, made big waves on the Slovak indie scene, and the Tolstoys’ eagerly awaited debut album “Botanika” was released in October via Slnko Records. And word is that there is much more to be heard from this band in the coming years.
