Beton Ltd. are a collective of authors: Katarina Stegnar, Primož Bezjak and Branko Jordan. Große Erwartungen|Great Expectations is their sixth performance. They say they always begin a performance from ground zero, but for a performance to emerge from nothing, personal grips are almost always of key importance for them. Gorazd Pakozdi, Andreja Kopač and Žigan Krajnčan began with Improvocations in order to study improvisation together with the community of performers and audience, in a manner that people in this community understand and use improvisation. In his performance, Staging a Play: Antigone, Matija Ferlin continues with his reflection on the concept of solo performances, and on the expanded concept of his Staging a Play series. By choosing Antigone, Ferlin decided to adopt the approach of complete reduction of the stage, for a minimalism, with which he wants to reduce the character heterogeneity of the play in its functions to a single performing body, while at the same time preserving the entire narrative and logic of dramatic situations.
