Bowrain: Distracted–presentation of new album

Slovenian pianist and producer has been working on his second studio album for the last two years, and the album represents a new era of his artistic vision. Irena Tomažin Zagoričnik: MOVED BY VOICE

The performance Moved by Voice by Irena Tomažin Zagoričnik continues her exploration of the relation between the body, voice, and space. Tomažin and her collaborators undertake a research into the multiple sources of voice, its flesh, its materiality and metaphysical properties, and scrutinize its meaning and place in everyday life. This is an investigation of the processes that take place when the will of the cultivated flesh slackens and permits the presence of the voice, disburdened of the dichotomy between subject and object, culture and nature, the individual and the social, between the vulnerable body and the power of performance, to grow out of the cautious and delicate space/flesh. Festival Drugajanje 2017

Since 2002 Bunker is organizing Drugajanje festival in Maribor in partnership with ll. gimnazija Maribor and many local partners, among which Nagib na oder, Narodni dom Maribor, Vetrinjski dvor, GT22 and Salon uporabnih umetnosti. This year Drugajanje will have its’ 16th edition, which will take place from 27th – 30th November. (more…)

Anniversary is a time that casually invites us to reflect on the road left behind, on the obstacles overcome, on the blunders and victories. Bunker was founded in 1997, and celebrates its 20^th birthday this year. Quite a respectable age, enough time for some important changes to happen. Roundtable discussion: Breakpoints, Breakthroughs and the Future

Time goes by slowly if you are a child, but with growing up and getting old, time accelerates into an ever faster spiral. Perhaps it is the same with organizations? Or, with their people, at least? It certainly holds true for Bunker – having started with one festival and a single production yearly, when time only accelerated twice a year, Bunker now operates at a pace that never slows down. If there is no festival, it is either the beginning, the peak, or the end of the season, a premiere performance of our production, a conference, or a tour abroad. Maybe the only way to slow down time for a moment is to celebrate the anniversary, make a mini inventory, and draw up a wish list. (more…)
