Rima Najdi: THINK MUCH. CRY MUCH.

November 28, 2017 5:00 pm 7:00 pm

Nemčija, Libanon/Germany, Lebanon

Think much. Predstava Think much. (more…)

Sound play on the maternity myth, premiere

My womb is a holy machine,
crucial for society and state.
My breasts are the fountain of life,
they feed her and him,
despite mastitis.
I’m a container of the highest quality class,
the best, all-natural, the only one,
the cleanest flower of paradise,
wonderful dawn, the miracle of reproduction, the guarantee of the well-being of nations.

Come. Fill me up gently.
Step with me.
Melt together with the mother.

Come.

An interdisciplinary research about changing/changeless views on motherhood.

The Archive as a Process. How To Archive Contemporary Performing Arts And Keep Them Alive?

October 14, 2017
10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Focused on contemporary performing arts, we question ways in which to form the process of archiving so as to preserve the life of artistic works (performances, happenings, installations) and allow them to be seen and experienced by a broader public. What does the process of archiving brings in terms of content? How to contextualise the material? How to classify it? How to avoid the ‘character of a museum’? How to not close the work into a canon, a drawer, history?

Preparation and implementation: Lana Zdravković (Kitch & City of Women, Ljubljana)

Participants: Ana Čigon (Red Dawns, Ljubljana), Barbara Orel (AGRFT, Ljubljana), Bettina E. Knaup (re.act.feminism – a performing archive, Berlin), Ida Hiršenfelder (Modern Gallery – Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova, Ljubljana), Jelena Višnjić (BeFem, Beograd), Kristina Lelovac (Tiiiit! Inc., Skopje), Leila Šeper (Blasfem, Banja Luka), Phoebe Patey-Ferguson (Live Art Development Agency, London), Sabina Potočki (City of Women, Ljubljana), Tanja Petrović (ZRC SAZU, Ljubljana), Tihana Bertek (Vox Feminae, Zagreb), Vedrana Frašto (CURE, Sarajevo).

City Of Networks

October 13, 2017
10:00 am - 6:00 pm

The networking of local, regional, and international feminist and LGBTIQ groups working in culture is going to start off with brief presentations of specific socio-political contexts that affect their respective thematic focuses and working methods. If political art speaks the unspeakable, envisions the unseen, how do they, as initiators and producers, navigate between the Scylla and Charybdis of institutionalisation and capitalisation of both art and gender politics?

Discussions’ Moderator: Tea Hvala

Contributors: Cultural Gender Practices Network (SI/HR/RS/BA/MK), Nordijc/Baltic Queer Art Network (Dk), Gender Bender / Il Cassero (IT)

The discussion will be in English.

Admission free.
