Betontanc & Umka.lv at the festival Reims Scènes d’Europe (France)
Betontanc & Umka.lv will perform Show Your Face! on 10th and 11th February 2015 at the festival Reims Scènes d’Europe 2015, Le Manège de Reims (Reims, France).
Show Your Face! is a virtuosic performance of puppetry, theatre, dance, and live music that examines the effects of courage (or lack thereof) throughout the 20th century.
“This is sharp, politically engaged, relevant, timely, restless work.” (Chicago tribune, January 15th 2011)
“The excellent puppetry gives a breathless and anxious animation to the Faceless One. The choreography element is raw and fluid. The physicality of the actors is called upon to project ragged emotion on one hand and to keep the action flowing seamlessly at the same time. Music is haunting, melodic and quite beautiful.” (Chicago Theatre Beat, January 15th 2011)
