This evening will consist of two parts: the first part will feature students from the Capoeira Senzala school as they present the development of the Afro-Brazilian art form capoeira from the times of slavery up to the present day. The second part will consist of batizado: a celebration or initiation that allows a capoeira student to establish contact with the more experienced capoeira practitioners and thereby represents their formal entry into the world of capoeira. FESTIVAL GODIBODI

As tradition has it, the now-fourth Godibodi Festival will present the novelties of contemporary popular and ethno music, which include a project prepared by singer, fairytale writer and collector of folk traditions, Ljoba Jenča. Also appearing: a debut by the Ba-rock band under the guidance of guitar player and composer Uroš Rakovec, a record by songwriter Mark Grobler, and a project by Robert Jukič and the accompanying music cast Dobrote iz skrinje zarote. The singer and composer Mateja Starič will present her authorial repertoire with a group of excellent musicians, and Maja Pihler a.k.a. “Bilbi,” with her recent breakthrough song Hvala za vijolice, will present her forthcoming record in a premiere concert performance.
The 2011 Godibodi will also feature renowned Hungarian flute player Eszter Horgas with the Classjazz band.

The warmth of B.K. has to be maintained 24 hours a day. Her warmth depends on the difference between the energy received and the energy transmitted. The first law says that energy cannot be destroyed or created out of nothing, it can simply be transformed from one form to another. B. K. feeds several times a day, washes regularly, is transported and constantly involved in the process of transforming. B. K. usually functions without any serious problems and maintains a temperature between 35.8 and 37.2 °C. Should the system of receiving and transmitting go out of balance, hypothermia or overheating may have fatal consequences for B. K. (more…)

Bila bi palma represents a dream about the travel into an exotic world, about something else and something different, about the life one dreams of while being confronted with motionless, stillness and the dwelling limited to one single place. It is within this experiential framework that we are trying to find a way to bring dreams and reality closer together.
