One of the greatest problems of contemporary man is his physical inactivity and the constant sitting. Most people have no problem with the body, with being touched and they are able to realise quickly what goes on around them. We all have these abilities deep down, but the contemporary life no longer needs them. We no longer use the body. You drive down to the store, take a little walk and sit down. And yet there was a time when movement in one form or another was the ongoing daily activity. It seems as if people should be enlightened once again about how they should stand, walk, what kind of posture they should have, how they should approach someone. The only piece of furniture of the »protagonist« is a chair. »I sit. My home is wherever I drop my chair. My living room. I sit, I watch and I think my own thoughts. They walk, they watch and they think their own thoughts. I observe and at the same time I’m the observed one. There are wars raging around, and yet I sit and observe while everything goes on around me….« This solo performance with guests enacts a reflection of laziness, apathy and the passive role of the western man in life, revisiting the question this very man constantly asks himself: »What, for what purpose and why should something move me?«
