Via Negativa & Oblivia: AND SO ON AND SO FORTH

Premiere of the joint original project of two groups from the margin of the European centre, the international Finnish group Olivia and Via Negativa.

What connects both groups is that each of them fosters its unique form of performing, bound to constant reduction to the basic performing language and to the performing principles of staging. There are also great differences to be noticed between the groups, arising from completely different creative procedures that each of them applies. It was last spring when six performers have begun to thread the path of searching for the common performing language and narrative, which would succeed to incorporate all our differences into a newly established performing arena. And for that reason we can already give a hint to the audience that they’re about to see a different Via Negativa to the one they’re used to. And yet, Negativa in its essence nonetheless.
