12th International Festival of Improvisational Theatre – NAKED STAGE

In its 12 years of functioning, Naked Stage has become one of the most important festivals for improvisational theatre in Europe and North America. It’s a small, but nevertheless a propulsive festival, especially because it has remained loyal to its goals. These on the one hand lie in showing the selection of the most interesting and the most influential improvisational productions, whereas on the other hand the idea is to emphasize the experimental dimension of the festival – with the selection of performances and also with special festival productions, conversations, and other forms of exchanging the approaches and the interests of the present artists. This is a festival where new directions of theatre improvisation are being set through intensive networking between the local and the foreign artists. This festival is also highly popular with the audiences, because it never fails to enthral with purifying humour and authentic contact between the participants, which only improvisation can bring about.
