It will take place between 12th and 17th April 2010 in different locations across Ljubljana city centre, presenting both rising artistic talents as well as generally recognized artists. You can yourself join artists’ efforts and contribute to the scholarship fund established for high school students from deprived single-parent families by purchasing entrance tickets!

  • Concert: KONTRABANT

The group Kontrabant celebrated its 15th anniversary last year, which also brought about a release of its fifth record Dobri geni. The record holds an exquisite SQ quality certificate, an abbreviation which stands for Smuggling Quality. Kontrabant mainly draws its inspiration from Prekmurje, a small area where various cultures melt into an interesting coexistence of Croatian, Hungarian, Roma and Jewish musical practices with a predominant expression of Slovenian musical heritage. The latter gradually moved away from its indigenous Slovenian character due to centuries-long exposure to Hungarian influence, which is exactly what makes it so exceptional. An interesting accordionist Domen Finžgar will perform as a support act.
