Competition of jazz bands and solo musicians

Unique competition for jazz instrumentalists, singers and ensembles in Slovenia is to take place under the patronage of the music society Saksofonija, Boben in lajna Institute and Conservatory for music and ballet Ljubljana.
The competition consists of two categories – high school students, and university/college students – and strives to discover as well as encourage talented students, expand their knowledge and bring jazz music together with improvisation closer to the people.High professional standards of the competition will be ensured by expert jury, composed of the most renowned instrumentalists and music teachers: Jure Pukl, President of the jury, and its members Jani Moder, Primož Fleischman, Jaka Pucihar and David Jarh.
Awards for the winners are: demo recording at SAE Institute (best band award) and recording of a selected single with Big Band RTV Slovenia in Studio 14 (best solo musician award).
