Andreja Rauch: TUESDAY

performance for a mother, a child and a musician

Tuesday is a collage of poetic dimensions, normally present in everyday situations and in questions we normally all share and experience. These dimensions come forth through the character named Suzana, played by Suzana Koncut.

Suzana’s nine-year-old son Jan also makes for part of the performance. His presence and spontaneity allow the audience to feel the existing connection between the mother and the son, oscillating between understanding and ignorance, between their common interests and hopelessness of conflictive situations and, finally, between imagination and ‘reality’. As these borders become surpassed and exceeded, Jan starts performing in Suzana’s performance. Inadvertently and inevitably.
