Bunker’s Dance with Image Snatchers!

Bunker and Emanat invite you to the traditional Bunker’s New Year Dance – this time in the guise of Emanat’s Image Snatchers.

Image Snatchers is a technoburlesque designed as a physical study of (pop)art forms that are »closer to people«. It alludes to fun and critique, satire and tragedy, music and dance, feminism and strip‑pleasure, ending the fourth year of unstoppable transformation.

When Snatchers are completely exposed, having taken off their social dresses layer by layer, they do not reach the essence, but instead find out that the essence is nothingness, and the performed travesties are opium that makes living bearable. This amusing cross-dressing game and their behavior are results of a great historical liberation of individuals’ sexuality and bodies from the bonds of society. Satisfied in the eclectic noise of media landscape, they stretch out the popular snapshots and bite them down to their unheard-of forms that provoke bursts of either laughter or despair.
