Pia Brezavšček, Barbara Krajnc Avdić, Saška Rakef: IDEAL (M)OTHER
“Performance Ideal (M)other is written in best tradition of feminism which puts glorification of maternity opposite to countless difficulties of current practices of giving birth and breastfeeding. The difficulties that are integrated in subjugation of body and mentality and are too often minimalized, if not completely “forgotten”.
The message of Ideal (M)other is clear: Let them tell us everything they do with our bodies when we are giving birth! Give us peace when we are breastfeeding! Let them free us from anguish of excessive subordination and obedience! Afterall, let them not fall in love with authority!”
