VN LAB 2017 – final production

In the frame of Elektrarna’s programme SPARKS we present:

The VN Lab is a Via Negativa laboratory for performing arts, in which we deal with the questions of why and what to perform. The Lab is organized as a series of six workshops taking place from January to June that are connected into a continuous creative process. It is open to all who wish to develop their own creative processes and to explore strategies of contemporary performing arts.

Each year, we set the working theme, and the task of each participants is to (re)search their material and to develop their own performing strategy within the set frame. This year, the Lab is focused on the topic of “security”. On the one hand, this is a profoundly intimate need of every individual, and on the other hand, it is a field of brutal ideological, political and economic manipulations. How much freedom are we willing to sacrifice for our security?
