Festival of Migrant Film – FMF Slovenia

In the context of Festival of Migrant Film, Slovene Philanthropy and Peace Institute organize film screenings on the subject of solidarity economy, followed by a discussion on the topic of fair economy beyond the capitalist ideology, along with a banquet and socializing. In Slovenia, social end solidarity economy (SSE) is still a developing concept. It represents much more that social entrepreneurship. It is an ideology opposed to the capitalist economy, whose sole interest is profit. It is a concept that brings to the economy with responsibility to the people, animals and nature, and puts wellbeing of all before the interests of a small number of rich people. The selected films will show examples of good practice, the ways in which it is possible to work and live beyond exploitation, and during the debate, we will discuss the possibilities to realize these models in our own environment.
