Snježana Premuš: POÍESIS OF SELF

“The dance ‘performance’ Poíesis of Self, created by dancer and choreographer Snježana Premuš̌ in co-operation with contemporary dance theoretician Rok Vevar, could be described as a fluid installation of moving, sentient bodies in space. In the continuation of her exploration of the physical as a dynamic structure of the reflective or intelligent body, the author expands the question of the presence (of the body and in the body) and the perception of body to the group experience, which involves visitors as well.” Nika Arhar, MMC RTV Slovenia

This year, Snježana Premuš received the Ksenija Hribar award at the Biennial of Slovenian Contemporary Dance Art Gibanica, awarded to her for outstanding choreographic achievements of the past two years, which include prominent projects such as Poíesis of Self (2016), Physical Manifestations (2015), and short film Intelligent Body (2014).
