intermedia performance

After intensive sound-visual research in the projects H22O and Modular interferences, Marko Batista returns with the construction of intermedia systems for the purpose of the distribution and analysis of electronic sound, rhizomatic structures and moving pictures.
The project, entitled Temporal Diagrams, envisages a unique environment – consisting of control devices and complex mechanisms – which transforms partial differentiation into a systemic concept and introduces the logic of specific communication to the defined temporal textures, which interconnect in a changing network of audio-visual data. The structural relations of sound and graphic screens refer to the theoretic research in hybrid compounds of electronic circuits as well as spectral data models, which have been developed by the author for quite some time now. The point of interest for the intermedia artist, which lies in the systemic concept of partiality and distribution channels, fuels the logic of connection-making amongst the parallel low-voltage oscillatory systems within the so-called multimedia “AV-integrated object”.
