“Splash. Red twinkling, knife, where it drowns. Splash. Seems like red blood drops surging out of the water.
Splash. The little mermaid follows, jumps into the soaring waves.
Red light, lowered head, loose hair, silence.
Red drops drowning in the sea. The sea turns around, now the drops are swimming upward.
Splash. Red twinkling knife, where it cuts the surface. Splash. Where it returns to the surface. Back into the little mermaid’s hand. While his eyes are asleep. Blood embraces the canopy. Splash. The whole sea is blood. His dead eyes.”
