Mladi Levi festival: BEYOND THE CONSTRUCTION SITE

With opening the construction site at Resljeva street which is closed since many years we are pointing on potential of degraded urban areas. In close collaboration with people living around the area and other interested people we are planning to transform the site into a dynamic communal space.

DOCUMENTATION

Project began within the program Vrt mimo grede which is developed by the zavod Bunker with the support of Municipality of Ljubljana, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and Sostenuto program.

  • Meeting of the interested parties in front of the desolate construction site on Resljeva street
    Tuesday, August 17th at 5.00 pm
  • Installation of new door to make an entry to the construction site, cleaning action and picnic
    Thursday, August 19th from 3.00 – 7.00 pm

  • Polonca Lovšin, all-day art action A Day with a Goat
    Monday, August 30th
    Polonca Lovšin will spend a day with a goat on the specified location and follow the goat’s movements across the widely grown area in order to make a plan of new paths for the desolate construction site, based on the notes describing the goat’s movement.

The project is a part of the Kud Obrat program entitled Prostorske raziskave. Kud Obrat (Polonca Lovšin, Stefan Doepner, Apolonija Šušteršič, Urška Jurman, Tomaž Tomažin) functions in an transdisciplinary manner and deals with various present issues, which define contemporary society and art.

We are starting the project within the program Vrt mimo grede which is developed by the Zavod Bunker in the frame of the festival Mladi levi and with the support of Municipality of Ljubljana, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and Sostenuto program.
