Mala Kline: EDEN

EDEN juxtaposes two worlds, simultaneously arising in the encounter between a performer and an audience. The here and now of the theatre encounter collides with the world of images, existing inside and outside space as well as in arenas between bodies. EDEN inhabits the figure of a clown to stage opposites and paradoxes in a playful and humorous manner. However, EDEN is not what one would call a pleasant state of rest. Rather, it is a space of treatment with razorblade as the instrument applied.
