Neighbour’s Day

For the twelfth time in a row, in cooperation with The Tone Čufar Primary School and many other cultural and educational organizations of the Tabor neighbourhood, we are organizing Neighbour’s Day, a day dedicated to neighbourly socializing and networking. Socializing helps to build quality relations and solidarity, cooperation, intergenerational integration and a sense of community. With all‑day events, we are trying to connect people of all generations who live, work or visit the Ljubljana neighbourhood of Tabor. Various activities will take place at various venues throughout Tabor, with the main event hosted by The Old Power Station.

In the evening at 8.00 p.m. in the Old Power Station we are preparing the performance InterKlepec for all the neighbours and visitors of the Neighbour’s day.

Neighbour’s day in the POld Power Station:

9.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.

3.30 p.m.
Public tour around the Old Power Station (20 minutes)
The Old Power station is 120 years old and it is not producing electricity anymore, since it has become a stage for contemporary theatre and dance 15 years ago. At the tour we will guide you through the important points in history of this beautiful space.

4.00 p.m.
The main event of the NEIGHBOUR’S DAY
At the one hour event there will be numerous younger and older pupils of neighbouring schools as well as participants to cultural and sports activities in the Tabor neighbourhood will be presenting their work. Partners of the Neighbour’s day are: Bunker, Četrtna skupnost Center, Dijaški dom Tabor, Dikine kljeklarice, Elektro Ljubljana, Gimnazija Ledina, Kinodvor, Konservatorij za glasbo in balet Ljubljana, MOL – Mestno redarstvo, Mestna zveza upokojencev, Dnevni center aktivnosti za starejše, MSUM Metelkova, Narodni muzej Slovenije, OŠ Ledina, OŠ Toneta Čufarja, Planinsko društvo RTV Slovenija, Policijska postaja Ljubljana Center, Vrtec Ledina, Zavod Bob – Mladinski center Ulca.
