Summer Dance School – PPŠ 2017

Summer Dance School, taking place during the first week of the summer school holidays, offers various dance workshops and courses run by local and foreign dance experts. Its program is designed to integrate both complete beginners as well as dancers with extensive prior knowledge. It offers a varied range of dances for all age groups: classical ballet, contemporary dance, modern, contact improvisation, Afro-Contemporary dance, yoga, capoeira, breakdance, hip-hop, etc. In this way, dancers can learn about the basics of their chosen genre, or upgrade their skills. The mentors will include renowned dance experts, such as Liza Penkova (Rosas), Rich Wieles, Nicole Speletic, Davide Sportelli, Dagmar Dachauer … Summer Dance School, which was held in Ljubljana from 1979 to 1997, produced important names of the Slovenian dance scene. With this educational format, The Public Fund for Cultural Activities wants to bring together dancers and dance clubs into a diverse dance community.
