We will follow the questions raised in Panel Discussion D and pursue debates that emerge from disagreements between the panellists regarding art and politics. The discussion will focus on what we consider political in art. Do artists have a responsibility to be politically engaged or is their responsibility the same as that of ordinary citizens? We will try to apply the question of political engagement in art to current issues that interest artists: climate change, genetically modified food, national processes in the Balkans…
