SPECIAL CALL SIGNS MARKING THE OCCASION OF SLOVENIA'S ACCESSION TO THE EUROPEAN UNION
Slovenian radioamateurs have the honour to celebrate the entry of Slovenia into European Union.
Following the request of the Association of Radio Amateurs of Slovenia (ZRS), the Telecommunications, Broadcasting and Post Agency
of the Republic of Slovenia (ATRP) issued the permission for the usage of special
call signs to the Slovenian amateur radio stations
during the period from 1st May till 31st December 2004.
With this permission, all Slovenian radio amateurs with valid licence are allowed to use special call sign from the series
S5041A to S5040ZZZ, composed of the prefix (S5), followed by the numbers 0 and 4 (04) and the suffix of their existing call sign.
In practice it means that the amateur radio station with the valid licence S56XXX may also use the special call sign S5046XXX
(so both call signs can be used) during the period from 1st May till 31st December 2004. Special call signs were issued by
ATRP by the special collective permission, so the existing valid licence is also valid for the use of special call sign.
ATRP also approved the use of the special call sign S52004EU to be used during special events, radioamateur manifestations
and international contests. Use of this call sign will be coordinated by the ZRS HF manager Rajko Vavdi, S54X.
